Taitokerau Rongoa originated from a desire to create a unique, rongoa featuring local botanicals long believed in the practice of Maori Medicine to have restorative properties and promote well-being.

Kawakawa, Manuka, Kumarahou Rongoa - Herbal Remedies:  


100 ml:  Kumarahou, Manuka & Kawakawa Extract.

Highest Quality & Potency, 100 ml:  10x, 20x, 30x, Kumarahou, Manuka & Kawakawa Extract.  Extracted from 10/20/30 grams of harvested, snap dried, Kumarahou, Manuka & Kawakawa Leaves.

*Dose by sublingual absorption, a teaspoon or tablespoon of extract, held under the tongue before swallowing.  This method ensures high bioavailability.
Available as an Olive Oil based extract (Olive Oil Taste) OR a VG - Vegetable Glycerine based extract.  (Tastes sweet like Honey)

100 ml Manuka: 10x, 20x, 30x Liquid Extract.

10x = Extracted from 10 grams of dried herbs.

20x = Extracted from 20 grams of dried herbs.

30x = Extracted from 30 grams of dried herbs.



*10x = 10-1 - 10 x stronger than the natural actives.

*20x = 20-1 - 20 x stronger than the natural actives.

*30x = 30-1 - 30 x stronger than the natural actives.


Balms:

Hand picked botanicals such as Kawakawa leaves have been carefully selected and infused with our most locally harvested bees wax, pure grape seed oil and natural N.Z grown & sourced essence. These unique infusions, are subtly blended to create a balm,  enriched with the Wairua, Spirit of the Forests.

Tinctures:

We use only the highest quality, food grade alcohol in the preparation of our Kawakawa Tincture. 


We also prepare our 'Sweet As' Kawakawa V.G Liquid Extract, for those who prefer a non alcohol based tincture.

We prepare ' super potentiated ' Kawakawa extract that allows rapid ingestion of the active ingredients.

Rongoa - Honey Extract - 10x 20x 30x:  

We prepare ' super potentiated ' Rongoa - Honey Extract, ideal for using as a general health tonic & anti oxidant.  Dose by the teaspoon or tablespoon.


Manuka - Honey Extract.
Kumarahou - Honey Extract.
Kawakawa - Honey Extract.

Oils:

Our Kawakawa infused oils use a natural grapeseed base, with a range of all natural essence, ideal for massage & skin rejuvenation.


Active Constituents:  

Volatile Oil - 1.5-3.5% in the leaves (mostly myristicin) Lignans - in the leaves and wood, Juvadecene & derivatives – in the root Little else is known, although the presence of other pharmacologically active compounds such as flavonoids and alkaloids seems likely, based upon analyses of related species.

Kawakawa is sourced from our whenua, on the West Coast of the Far North, New Zealand.
